Another year has arrived and our little Bug has turned 4. I can't believe she is that old.
For the last month and a half, she has been telling us she wants her birthday at Chuck E Cheese's, we kept telling her - maybe. She wanted everything she saw on the television, and in magazines, we kept telling her - we'll see. We finally were able to get her to be ok with having her birthday party at our house in the newly finished basement playroom. Pete and I stayed up the night before until about 1 am finishing the room. It looked great - still needs a few touch-ups here and there, but all in all, it's a great playroom. Pete hung up crepe paper and ballons, put up the table with the princess tablecloth and the room was ready for guests. While Pete was doing all that, I was upstairs finishing decorating the cake and getting the party favors ready.
Finally the party guests started to arrive. She invited 3 neighbor friends - Phoenix, Alaina, and Clara, 4 cousins - Megan, Spencer, Easton and Parker, and 2 other friends - Jenasi and Ashlyn. We started out making Princess wands. The boys had visors to put decorations on, but they also liked making wands. Once they made all the wands their hearts desired, everyone put their shoes and jackets on and headed outside for the pinata. Bug loves pinata's. Everyone took turns taking a whack at the pinata, I believe everyone was able to have 2 turns before Spencer broke the pinata open and the candy fell out.
After the candy was gathered they all headed back indoors and downstairs to open presents and eat the yummy cake. Bug's favorite part of the cake were the princesses (6 of them) that she was able to play with after I washed the frosting off. Bug recieved many gifts and she loves them all. I believe the day was a success and the Birthday Girl had a blast. The next day she came up to me and said, "Now we get to have my party at 'Chuck E. Cheese's' today!" Unfortunatly I had to pop her bubble and let her know that she will have to wait another year to have a birthday party again. She seemed to be fine with that.
We love you so much Bug. We are glad that you are our daughter and get to enjoy everyday with you. You are funny and interesting and keep us laughing and on our toes all the time. We love you and hope you had a Fantastic birthday!

You washed the frosting off? Like you didn't lick it off? I cannot even fathom that idea. ;)

Looks like you had so much fun! Birthdays are crazy aren't they. Why do they always ask for Chucky Cheese? Mine does too.
On a different note, how old is "Roo"?
You made a comment a little while back about Roo loving to run around the house naked. Well, that's the latest development with Lexie. That is her new favorite past time. :) It's pretty funny!
