Halloween Party - Adults Only!
Our neighbors decided to have a Halloween Party
the weekend before Halloween (if I remember right). We had it
at a barn in Kaysville - one of Cal's friends barn. It was fun. We parked on the street and
a tractor with a trailer took you to the barn. During the ride, we encountered
the Headless Horseman and other freaky creatures. At times I was a bit
scared, but that added to the fun of it.
Once you arrived at the barn, you entered the doors and there was
a fog machine adding to the effects. There was food, drinks - spiritless ones mind you -
and games. They even had the Wii projected
on a big screen. We played corks, Apples to Apples - Tawna's version,
and the Candy Bar game.
I think we all had fun. If not, it's your own fault.
Thanks Cal, Gena, Tawna and Erik. I know we were'nt that
involved in the planning and setting up - but we tried to clean up
without making others feel they had to go too.
Enjoy the pictures!!

Halloween Carnival!
The Wednesday or two before Halloween, the YM & YW put together
a Halloween carnival for the primary children. Bug wanted to be
Sleeping Beauty - thanks Madi for the costume, and Roo was
a Barbie - thanks again Madi. Bug saw how I did Roo's hair
and wanted hers done the same way.
So needless to say, Bug's Sleeping Beauty hair was
a but un-Sleeping Beauty like. Oh well, I still
think they both looked stinkin' cute. Roo was a bit onry
and Bug was getting that way too. I was unable to take photos of
the Carnival because of the unhappy children - and because they
put me in charge of ushering the kiddos in my group
to the next station. It was fun, I guess. A bit chaotic, but what
do you expect? The girls got candy, that's all they cared about.

Halloween Night!
Pete had to work on Halloween, so I tried to get things ready
for that night. I made chicken noodle soup - from scratch, made some rolls - from
scratch and attempted to clean my house and keep the kiddos
happy and me sane. Anywhoo, when Pete came home, we ate
and then the girls got dressed in their costumes and
I did their hair - with some small battles in between. We were finally all ready for
our Trick-or-Treat outing. Pete even dressed up. Nice mullet is all I can say!
We took the girls out at 6:00p.m. - as well as the rest of the neighborhood.
I was nervous that the night was going to be chilly, I did put
long pants on the girls and they each had a jacket over their costume, but
when we went out to gather our candy and show off our cute costumes
the weather was perfect. In fact a bit of walking and trying to keep
a 17 month-old from lagging behind and also letting her
be little miss independant, I was getting a bit warm.
Roo wanted to take all the candy in the bucket when
the neighbors told her to take one. She was cute and they
ended up letting her have another one. Bug was getting frustrated with Pete
because he kept stopping and talking to most everyone he met.
We ended up just going down the street on both sides and back up to
our house. The girls had fun. Roo was ready to call it a day
and we asked Bug if she wanted to catch up with Phoenix and do some
more trick-or-treating or go inside and wait for people to come to our
house. Luckily for Pete, she decided the latter.
We had fun watching a movie, eating candy, slurping slurpees, and
eating donuts. It was a fun night and I am greatful that I was
able to spend it with my two wonderful girls and my fabulous husband!
What a Halloween!!!
