Trip to Peanut Island

When Grandma and Grandpa Morgan came to visit (June 2006), we found this great snorkeling spot called Peanut Island. It was only about 15 minuets or so away from where we live (so remember, if you come visit, you could snorkel here too!). We had to take a ferry to the island. The island wasn't that big, but it was pretty and it had some real nice facilities. Here are some pictures of us on the ferry ride to the island.

K kept us all entertained by dancing on the ferry. She thought it was fun to ride on the water. She would spin and jump, sometimes falling in the process. But she enjoyed herself, and so did we.

Here is Pete, K, Grandm and Grandpa on Peanut Island. Pete and Grandpa went snorkeling first. They saw many pretty fish. It's amazing how many fish there are so close to the shore. After a while, Pete and I went snorkeling. It was so cool. You just float on the water, and there are so many fish. Sometimes I got a little nervous when a couple of fish started to swim right at me, but then they realized I was there and swam away, whew! When Pete and Grandpa went out, they saw an eel. I'm glad I wasn't there when it came out of the rock, I probably would have pooped my suit. Anyway, Pete and I were swimming around this huge rock and when we were a little closer to the shore, we spotted this huge, I mean HUGE starfish. It was a bright orange and probably the diameter of a large dinner plate. It was also about 3 -4 inches thick in the center. Pete and I felt it, kind of spikey, and then I made Pete pick it up. The underside of it had a little seashell stuck to the bottom. We put it back, I wanted to keep it and, sorry, kill it so I could display it in my house. Well Pete went back out to show Grandpa, but they couldn't find it. They searched everywhere. So it either made its way back out to the ocean or somebody took my idea and took it home with them.

As you can see, I'm not in a lot of these photos. Well for one reason, I don't like to be photographed in my swimsuit, and second, I am usually the one taking the pictures. So, I will try to be in more photos, so you can really see that I am here along with the rest of my family.
