On Monday and Tuesday, May 22 & 23 we all went to Miami to watch the Chicago Cubs vs. the Florida Marlins. Daddy is a Cubs fan and received tickets to the game for his birthday. It was really fun. We got there early to watch batting practice. Then we found our seats and the game began. K was so excited. All she wanted to do was run up and down the stairs and climb up and down on the chairs. She was just a ball of energy. K was the entertainment for our section. She would go up to everyone and smile and then run back to Mommy & Daddy. The first game was a blow-out the Marlins won. The Cubs didn't score a single run. We all enjoyed the fresh outdoors and had a good time with one another.
The second game was a lot more exciting. The cubs were up 4-0. K was a little more active than the day before. Yes, that is possible. We decided to sit in a different spot. Daddy wanted to try to catch a foul ball. Well, guess what?! Daddy got to do just that. The Cubs hit a foul ball and it went up past where we were sitting, but then bounced back down to our row. Daddy was kind of trying to protect K and catch the ball at the same time. Well he ended up knocking K down and catching the ball between Mommy's back and the seat she was sitting in. When he picked K up and gave her the ball, she stopped crying and everyone around us cheered for her. It was really cute. Then all K wanted to do was play catch - but she doesn't catch very well yet- so we kept chasing it and trying to keep it from rolling all the way down the bleachers.
It was a fun couple of days. It was also nice to spend time with Daddy, he has been working a lot lately. We appreciate all he does for our family. He is a wonderful father and husband!!! Enjoy the pictures of our days at the baseball park.

I think the pictures are great! We loved the foul ball story. It's hard to put the welfare of your only child before the importance of getting the ball.
Brien wanted you to know that we invited family to come visit us, but it hasn't happened yet, and we're a little closer than Florida (I guess your parents don't count). Brien also says, "Don't hold your breath, but we want to come visit you."
