Weekend with Friends at the Morgan Cabin

A couple of weekends ago, we decided to go to the family cabin and invite a few friends. The Bruun's and the Taylor's were able to go with us. We invited a few other families, but they were unable to come. Pete and I, along with our girls, didn't get up to Heber until around 8pm. The others were waiting for us for at least 2 hours. It just seemed like we were unable to get everything done and on our way. When we finally met up with everybody, we grabbed some grub and headed to the cabin. We were able to get settled and make caramel popcorn and make sure the kiddies were happy and then we started to play some games. I don't know if any of you have played with Tawna, but she likes to keep things interesting. We were playing 'Apples to Apples' and Tawna decided that if you were the first person who wasn't picked, you had to do one thing and if you were the 'winner' of that round you had to do something else. Well needless to say, it kept things interesting. The only pictures that I could post - without putting a parental advisory on this blog - were of Gena eating a giagantic spoonful of cheese and Pete dancing on the table. It was fun!! We then played the candy bar game - which I think we were all too tired to remember who had what - and then went to bed.

On Saturday we had breakfast and then got ready to go for a ride. Everyone had helmets - except the babies and we paired up on the four 4wheelers and we were off. Pete had K, I had R, Cal & Gena had Phoenix and Molly, and Tawna & Erik had Maddox. There were some parts of the trip that got a little scary and I was only driving with one hand because I had to hold on to R. So Erik & Tawna were kind enough to take R so I could drive with two hands and not go rolling down the mountain. By the time we got toward the end of our trail and head back, it started to rain. So we all found some rain gear in the packs and made sure the little ones were taken care of. I had a smaller 4 wheeler and as I drove, the mud was flying everywhere! It was fun though.

Once we all got back and had lunch and rested for a bit, the boys decided to go for another ride. They went out with the intention of getting muddy, and they accomplished that goal. Boys will be boys!! Just before dinner, the girls and I took our own little ride - we did not get muddy.

After dinner we cleaned up and headed back to our homes. Pete and I had fun and I hope everyone else did also. We will do it again another time, maybe in the winter when there is snow. So if anyone wants to come, let us know!!
