This Is the Place Heritage Park

Last weekend we went to This is The Place Park. They had a "little Haunting" for the kids. It was cute. At each house/building, they either had something to put in your trick-or-treat bag or you could do a craft. As you can see in the picture below, they even had pony rides. Bug was the ony one to take one though, Roo was too little to hold on by herself. Doesn't Bug look cute on the pony, all dressed up as Cinderella? She insisted on wearing her dress, costumes were optional - she opted to wear it. That's our little bug.

As Bug took her pony ride, Roo sat impatiently in her stroller. Bug was nice enough to get Roo a piece of candy after her ride. Roo was strapped in the stroller because if we let her out, she wouldn't want to get back in. She is kind of stubborn.

Bug was so excited. She saw a peacock. Some days, she is a peacock and the rest of the family are chickens. Nice huh? She just couldn't get enough of the peacocks.
One of the crafts was to 'color' magic paper to reveal a rainbow of colors beneath. Bug decided she wanted her picture to be all color, no black. Roo just wanted to scrape what ever she could with her new found tool.

They had a 'candy cannon' and shot taffy out of a small cannon - which we waited for way too long. Bug grabbed about 6 pieces and was upset that she waited so long and only got a little bit. Roo wanted whatever she was able to grab. Roo is a candy freak!!!

We had fun, it was probably one of the last warm weekends of the year. We were glad to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. Later we met up with our friends, the Bush's, and carved pumpkins.

Bug and Roo are sooo cute. They look like they had such a fun time. We drove past Heritage Park last Saturday and I almost stopped. Looks like I probably should have.
