What's Happening Here in "Our Little World"

Just thought I would let you all know that we are still alive here in Syracuse. We have been trying to stay busy and not go insane or depressed. We did however go to Lake Powell with some of our friends in the neighborhood at the beginning of August. We had a great time. The girls were great about wearing their life jackets and not going too close to the edge of the house boat. Pete was able to do wake boarding, slalom ski, knee board, and the air chair. He did all of them very well - the air chair needs a bit more practice, but he did good nontheless. I was able to get up on slolam ski and wake board. I was quite surprised that I was able to get up on the wake board, my first try too. I guess removing 25 pounds from your body will do a lot for someone. K & R did great with riding on the boats. Everytime we got on one, they both fell asleep. It was great!! Thanks Gena and Cal for letting us come. Gena - tell your family Thank You as well. We really did have a great time!!

We also went to Lagoon with Grandma & Grandpa Park and Hollie & Wil and their kiddos. It was fun. K surprised me. She loved the Roco planes. Pete took her on them and he made them go upside down. She would just belly laugh the entire time. Me, on the other hand, was sick after riding them. I went on them to please Hollie. She loved to try to get us to do continual spins. I wanted to puke after that. Luckily we hadn't had dinner yet. We all enjoyed the night out and we wanted to thank G&G Park for coming out to Lagoon. We had been waiting all season to get them to come out. And they finally did on the last day Lagoon was opened on a weekday. Yahoo!!
