Happy 1st Birthday R!!!!

R celebrated her 1st Birthday on Saturday, May 10th due to the fact that her Birthday ended up being on Mother's Day this year; with my experience of having my birthday land on Mother's Day every now and then, I am trying to keep her Birthday her own special day.
We started the day out by going to her cousin Easton's B-day party (his B-day is the 10th). We enjoyed food, cake & ice cream and a pinata (I think I am spelling that right). We then made our way back to our house for R's party.
We had some family come and enjoy cake and ice cream with R.
The whole cake eating thing with R wasn't as messy as I was expecting it to be. I gave her a cupcake and she nibbled at it a bit and then started devouring it. I think I picked a good color of frosting for her cake. It didn't make quite as big a mess. But my good eater that she is, ate 3 cup cakes.
We got her all cleaned up and then let her open presents. She got a lot of fun stuff. G&G Morgan gave her a cute outfit and a darling book that sings and has a picture of R in it. G&G Park gave her a baby doll and some clothes. Megan and Morgan (& Anna & Ryan) gave her a monster bubble blower. Madi, Scott, & Marcus (& Heather & Erik) gave her a cute outfit. Spencer, Easton, & Parker (& Hollie & Wil) gave her a baby doll. Jenasi, Ashlyn, and CiCi (& Candice and Cory) gaver her a cute interactive soft book. She also received many cards from family. Thank you all for remembering her Birthday and for the gifts you gave.
On her real birthday, K, Pete, and I gave R a little chair and a winnie the pooh ride-a-long toy airplane. She seemed to have a great Birthday. We had fun celebrating it with her.
